Membership Terms & Conditions

This page outlines how Nexus Jiu-Jitsu & MMA memberships operate, including payments, pauses, cancellations, and access.
By enrolling in a membership, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms.

1) Definitions

“Nexus” means Nexus Jiu-Jitsu & MMA. “Member” means the person enrolling in a membership. “Membership” means a recurring training plan billed automatically. “Direct debit” includes card-based and bank-debit recurring payments processed via Stripe.

2) Membership Payments (Direct Debit)

  • ✓Membership fees are billed automatically on a recurring schedule (e.g., fortnightly) using the payment method you provide.
  • ✓By enrolling, you authorize Nexus (via Stripe) to debit your nominated payment method for all fees due under your membership.
  • ✓Receipts and payment confirmations may be issued by email/SMS.
Important: Please ensure your payment details are current to avoid missed payments or interruption to access.

3) Refund Policy (No Refunds)

  • ✓All payments are final and non-refundable.
  • ✓This includes (without limitation) trial fees, membership fees, renewals, direct debit payments, partial periods, unused time, missed classes, and no-shows.
  • ✓If you choose not to attend, cannot attend, change your mind, relocate, or stop training, your fees remain payable until your membership is paused or cancelled in accordance with Section 5.
Exceptional circumstances: Any goodwill credits or refunds (if offered at Nexus’ sole discretion) do not create an ongoing entitlement to refunds in the future.

4) Failed Payments

  • ✓If a payment fails, we may attempt to reprocess the payment.
  • ✓Repeated failed payments may result in temporary suspension of training access until the account is brought up to date.
  • ✓Members are responsible for any bank/processor fees charged due to failed payments (if applicable).

5) Pause & Cancellation Policy

To keep things consistent for everyone, pauses and cancellations require notice and a submitted form.

Notice periods begin once the relevant form is submitted and confirmed by Nexus.

6) Membership Access & Timetable

  • ✓Membership includes access to eligible classes as per your selected plan and the current timetable.
  • ✓Class schedules, coaching staff, and session availability may change over time.
  • ✓Nexus may limit access in exceptional circumstances (e.g., safety, capacity, unpaid fees).

7) Health & Safety

  • ✓Training involves physical contact and inherent risk. Members train at their own risk.
  • ✓You confirm you are medically fit to participate, and will disclose relevant health conditions or injuries.
  • ✓Nexus reserves the right to refuse participation if a coach believes it is unsafe at the time.

8) Conduct & Academy Standards

  • ✓Members must follow coach instructions, academy rules, and respectful conduct at all times.
  • ✓Nexus may suspend or cancel access for serious misconduct, repeated rule breaches, or unsafe behaviour.
